The Liliane Bettencourt School of Inserm

The purpose of the Inserm Liliane Bettencourt School is to provide students of medicine or pharmacy with early training in research

Introduction

The School organizes theoretical and practical training in biological and medical research, in order to make it possible through two steps:

  • to obtain a master 2-research: in the 4th year of medical school or in the 4th or 5th year for pharmacy
  • to prepare a science thesis before the Internship directly after the master 2-research or during the Internship

The proposed training in research allows for, right from the internship and during the clinical period, an approach in terms of reflection and investigation. It makes a contribution to the study and the solution of clinical cases, as well as to a fundamental medical research activity.

A customized pedagogical solution and financial aid thanks to the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation are granted to students admitted into the second year of Research Training

Created in 2009, the main objective of the Association Médecine/Pharmacie Sciences (AMPS, Medicine Pharmacy Science Association) is to bring together students following dual medicine-science curriculums in France. The Association also takes part in fostering interaction between medicine and fundamental sciences. It encourages multi-disciplinary approaches and allows students from the various faculties, having different skills, to exchange their ideas and interact together.
