Jean-Paul Soulillou, Honorary Prize 2012

The Prix d'Honneur for 2012 has been awarded to Prof. Jean-Paul Soulillou, for his work on tolerance to allografts

Jean-Paul is a physician and head of the Inserm "Lymphocyte regulation and tolerance" team at the Transplantation and Immunology Research Center (Inserm Unit 1064) in Nantes. His research work focuses particularly on the case of patients who, after receiving a kidney transplant, have stopped their immunosuppressive treatment but did not reject their transplant. By studying the specificities of the immunological profile of these patients, Jean-Paul's aim is to explain this incredible tolerance phenomenon.
