A Research Prize is awarded to Archana Singh-Manoux, for her work on cognitive ageing.

“The changes that cause age-related neurodegenerative diseases have been in place twenty years before clinical diagnosis,” explains Archana Singh-Manoux. Indeed, the researcher’s interest in cognitive ageing involves studying what happens well before it is easily detectable. Using a cohort of 7,000 individuals, she identifies the risk factors and the factors that protect against age-related cognitive decline.
