All Prizes since 2000

Every year since 2000, Inserm honours talented researchers and research engineers, for their scientific work, their creativity and their enthusiasm for biomedical research.

The Grand Prize recognises someone in French scientific research whose work has enabled remarkable advances in knowledge of human physiology, therapy, and more generally in the healthcare field.

Since 2004, a Prize of Honour and an International Prize have been awarded, testifying to the career of particularly-eminent international scientific personalities.

Research Prizes distinguish researchers, research lecturers and research clinicians, whose work has particularly marked the field of basic research, clinical and therapeutic research and public health research.

Innovation Prizes recognise engineers, technicians or administrators for original achievements supporting research.

New for 2013, the Opecst-Inserm Prize, awarded jointly by the Parliamentary assessment office for scientific and technological choices and Inserm, is intended to recognise a researcher for involvement in industrial exploitation of research.
