Stanislas Dehaene (Inserm Unit 992/Gif sur Yvette) - Grand Prize

Stanislas Dehaene directs the cognitive neuro-imaging unit at the NeuroSpin Centre*, a large brain research organisation located at Gif-sur-Yvette. Educated as a mathematician, this neuroscientist is also professor of cognitive psychology at the Collège de France. In a few years, he became the specialist in brain architectures that underpin cognitive functions. After having done a lot of work on figures and letters, his team focused on the signatures of consciousness.
